A Birth Class for Your Mental Health - NEW!

Birth carries a large mental and emotional tax. However, there is little guidance in preparing for the impact birth has on your mental health; increasing the risk for postpartum depression and anxiety. This class will bridge the gap between birth and postpartum mental health. In our time together, you will: learn the symptoms and risk factors of postpartum mood disorders, understand what a mental health birth plan is and its importance, and build your own mental health birth plan.

Instructor Brittany Squillace, MA, LMFT is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and founder of Best Self Therapy. The mission of her work is to instill hope in adults to change the way they view, talk about and navigate grief; allowing them to live a better life as their best selves. This includes not only the death of a loved one but living losses as well (such as the loss of a marriage via divorce or the loss of identity in postpartum). In a safe and welcoming space, Brittany guides clients in exploring how the loss has affected their life and empowers them (via support and tools) to determine how they wish to continue living life while honoring their grief.
