At Circle of Friends, we believe that learning truly begins here — in relationships, play and joyful discovery. Starting preschool is an exciting milestone, and our caring, licensed teachers create welcoming classrooms where children feel safe, valued and excited to learn. Through play, connection and intentional teaching, we support children's social emotional and academic development — building a strong foundation for success in school and in life. Our Preschool and PreKindergarten programs serve children who turn three or four years old on or before September 1st. Our Little Lakers (Step Into Preschool for 26/27) program is designed for children who turn three between September 2nd and December 31st and incorporates intentional parent education. Rooted in our belief that learning begins here, this model supports children as they practice independence and gentle separation, while also equipping caregivers with strategies to support social-emotional development, routines and learning at home. We use a whole child, play based approach that honors each child's unique strengths, interests and developmental needs. Our programming is aligned to the Minnesota Early Childhood Indicators of Progress (ECIPs) and guided by a district approved curriculum. Classrooms incorporate our district's E-STEM philosophy, encouraging curiosity, creativity and problem solving through hands-on learning. Our program is proud to hold a 4-start Parent Aware rating which reflects our commitment to high quality, developmentally appropriate early learning experiences.

Students who successfully complete this course will receive their completion card for the Permit Test. This is the classroom portion of Driver Education and does not include the Behind the Wheel. Early Childhood Screening The early childhood years from birth to the start of kindergarten are important times of rapid learning and growth. Early Childhood Screening is a free and simple check of how your child is growing and developing offered through the Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools. Early Childhood Screening is a free developmental check-up required by the State of Minnesota for all preschool-aged children. Children between the ages of 3 and 4 years old, who live in district 719 need to participate in a screening before entering kindergarten. Between the ages of 3 and 4, screening can detect possible health or learning concerns so that children can get help before they start school. Parents may accompany their child through the approximately one-hour-long process. After the screening activities, the screener shares information regarding the child’s growth, development and learning. Click here for an informational video. LAKERS PRESCHOOL CHILD CARE Lakers Preschool Child Care and LAKER 3s program of Kids’ Company, offer quality child care for our youngest learners. Serving families and children ages 3-5, these quality programs offer a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children to play, develop skills, and explore. Children are welcomed into a supportive classroom where everyone belongs and is celebrated for the qualities that make them unique. LAKER 3s PROGRAM LAKER 3s program of Kids’ Company, offers quality full-time child care for our youngest learners. LAKER 3s provides a dependable 5-day schedule. Options for standalone child care or in addition to 3 year old's Circle of Friends Preschool schedule. Children turning age 3 by September 1 can join and embark on their first experience as a LAKER.

Kids’ Company offers quality child care before and after school, full-day programming on most days when school is closed and summer. Kids’ Company is located in elementary buildings, serving Kindergarten through 5th grade students.
