The emphasis is to get you to rally the ball and understand the fundamentals of the forehand and backhand groundstrokes, volleys, and serve. The quickstart format, along with the Carlson Tennis teaching methods, get you playing quickly. Please bring an age appropriate racket. Rackets will be available for class use if you do not have one. Tennis participants may be invited to compete in tournaments outside of Tennis sessions. This interactive class begins with an informative presentation from Minnesota Valley Transit Authority (MVTA), covering local transit options, trip planning, and how to use MVTA Connect services. Participants will put their knowledge into practice with an MVTA-guided ride-along, gaining hands-on experience and confidence using public transportation in their community.
